Algonquin Disc Golf
Tom Thomson Park, located on a picturesque section of the South River, has been the home of the Algonquin Disc Golf Course, a Championship 18-hole disc golf course since 2003. The South River Disc Golf Club invites you to drop in for a casual round or gun for a championship in on one of our many events. Either way surf through this site to get all the info you need!
The Algonquin Disc Golf Course was designed by Dušan Nedelko of South
River. It was made possible by the generous financial support of local businesses and a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Set on a very picturesque section of the South River, it consists of short technicals, some longer holes with a mix of mowed fairways, water and forest hazards and colourful local characters. Numerous holes use the river proximity, with signature Hole #3 playing right over the water to the infamous ‘hanging basket’. For the most part the course is not very busy and most players find themselves with it all to themselves…until tournament day, when upwards of 75 players are out tossing plastic so play smart & safe. A few holes do have overlapping fairways so always make sure other players are aware. Also please remember that this is a PUBLIC PARK…be courteous to other park users and give them the right of way…avoid accidents!
BE COURTEOUS, DON’T LITTER. Help us keep the park clean!
